~Violinist SAMANTHA SILVERSTEIN, student of Mikhail Kuchuk, received the Level 10 Honors Certificate from the American String Teachers Association in June 2010. Samantha also won a scholarship for outstanding achievement at the New York Summer Music Festival. At the festival, Samantha was one of only 10 out of 200 musicians, and the only violinist, chosen to perform at a student recital. Samantha performed Danse Espagnole by de Falla with Peter Miyamoto as her accompanist. Samantha participated in a masterclass with Ida Kavafian and also served as assistant concertmaster in the chamber orchestra where she was the youngest member.
~Pianist DAVINA MATINHO, student of Adonis Gonzalez, performed at Carnegie Hall in May 2010 as a winner in the Golden Key Competition.

~Pianist JEREMIAH MATINHO, student of Adonis Gonzalez, earned Fourth Placein the Golden Key Competition.
~Violinist SAMANTHA SILVERSTEIN, student of Misha Kuchuk, was selected to perform at Carnegie Hall on May 16th after winning in the Second Olympic Challenge Competition. Samantha will be performing Kabalevsky’s Violin Concerto in C major. Samantha was also selected concertmaster and soloist for NJ Youth Symphony’s Sinfonia ensemble, after a recent round of auditions. NJYS Sinfonia will be performing their concert on May 15th at Bernards PAC.
